Celebrating Bobble World’s iconic image at ‘Wi Sani e Tyari Tori’

We were over the moon when our iconic Bobble World brand photo was featured in Winny Sandvliet’s mini expo ‘Wi Sani a Tyari Torie’. This special recognition perfectly captured our vision: turning a simple, everyday hair accessory into something beautiful, culturally meaningful, and art-worthy.

For many Surinamese and Caribbean girls, bobbles are more than just colorful hair accessories. They carry memories, identity, and tradition. Our retro-inspired bobbles, rooted in childhood nostalgia, reimagined as playful, modern designs, celebrate individuality while honoring these meaningful traditions.

The mini expo, which launched on 27 October 2024 and traveled to different locations in the Netherlands, showcased everyday objects that tell stories of history, ritual and heritage. Seeing visitors engage with our photograph, share their own memories of bobbles was incredibly rewarding. It was a proud moment for us, proving that even the simplest accessory can carry beauty, meaning and connection.
